Color My Fabric (3 or 6 hour class)

The goal of the 6 hour class is twofold.  We will begin by making a large set of samples of fabric hand-painted with Shiva paintstiks using many techniques.  These can be used for future reference and in your own art, clothing, quilting, and craft projects.  See how these techniques have been used in award-winning artwork.  You will also begin or make a quilt top based on your own design or that of the instructor’s.  (The 3 hour version of this class is EITHER making a small quilt top OR a set of samples.)

Supply fee:    $22 Includes paintstik and a silver embellishment of your choice.  Additional embellishments may be purchased for an additional fee.

Good morning, I’m very interested in learn about fabric dyes and dying fabric. Also interested in making natural dyes and the dying process.

    • I use Procion (synthetic) dyes for my classes because results are more predictable and stable. With your permission, I will add you to my email list and send out information on my next class. Thank you for your interest!
